Julia begins the story by telling us that she is going to write down her history to hopefully rid herself of her nightmares. Given some of the things she experiences, if all she has are nightmares then she is lucky. Julia begins her life naive and thinking that she is worth something, only to be crushed by her father and husband. Luckily, someone is watching out for her and she begins her life as a vampire. Author Theresa Van Spankeren gives the vampire community progressive ideals for the time period; the belief that women are equal to men and not just property. Throughout her life, Julia learns more with the vampires than she ever would have in her worldly life.

Lynne Stewart sure knows how to tell a powerful story. Tracking His True Mate is an exciting and suspenseful page-turner that kept me hooked from beginning to end. It shows that first impressions truly do matter. The rage displayed by the True Mate had Mariam running for her life - as well as the fact that she does not adhere to the 'fictional belief' of true love or True Mates. This is most definitely a love story with more twists than a giant licorice stick, and I eagerly anticipate the release of the second book in The True Mate Shifter Series. Lynne Stewart is a name to watch out for in any bookstore, and I highly recommend Tracking His True Mate to all die-hard fans of werewolf love tales over the age of 15.

Heather is in dire need of a digital detox as she feels burnt out by living a life that is always so public on social media, always working for the best camera angle. Heather has to deal with not only adoring fans but utter trolls who make the most hideous, mean comments. She spontaneously decides to buy a small cottage in Ohio to escape from it all and live a simpler normal life in the forest. Unbeknownst to Heather, her life becomes less normal when she rescues a red-eyed birdlike creature or moth with yellow and black wings. Heather must protect and nurture this strange creature back to health, but sparks and passion soon fly through the roof.
Paige Lavoie writes a fast-paced romance that is both quirky and modern. The heroine, Heather, has many problems that make her very relatable to the reader. Not only is Heather bisexual, but she also suffers from a disease known as Hashimoto, so she has to live a gluten-free, healthy lifestyle. I found myself chuckling out loud at the silliness and superficiality of Heather’s online persona and the world of social media. I’m in Love with Mothman is a highly entertaining and enjoyable romance that brilliantly captures the modern world of social media. This is a great escape from reality.

He is taken in by Master O, a wizard who has some big plans for Hagen. Taken to his home, Hagen has no idea he is about to meet his fated mate, Faiza. A slave sold to Master O by her parents, Faiza has powerful magic brewing inside her that she keeps hidden. But things change when Hagen realizes Master O wants to weaponize Hagen for his vendetta. The sparks between Hagen and Faiza are already burning high; the duo is ready to do whatever it takes to keep each other safe. But can they?
A paranormal romance with plenty of action and twists, this is one of the most satisfying romances I have read. Titanian Warrior has everything I desire in a romance including action, a solid plot, a fantastic narrative, and relatable characters. Faiza’s character is strong yet vulnerable at the same time. Hagen, on the other hand, exudes power and raw strength, and they complement each other well. Victoria Saccenti creates believable scenarios, even when there is magic involved, and ensures there is never a dull moment. I love the action and the emotional turmoil it evokes. Master O is the kind of villain that we all love to hate, and Lilith is the kind of character we are all in awe of! Victoria does a fantastic job with this latest installment and has raised the bar high.

The Lycan King Alexandar wields tremendous power, and the moment he sets eyes on Gamma Lucianne, he believes they are destined to be mated in a union ordained by the goddess. But Lucianne wants nothing to do with Alexandar, especially after having experienced heartache five times before with failed mate-bonds. She is determined not to give her heart to anyone - not even the king. There are also enemies who will do everything to make sure Lucianne never becomes the Queen, and this includes killing her. Vasile can’t help but be drawn to the “Glowing Corky” and finds himself conflicted by emotions that he has never felt before. Pursuing a relationship was the last thing on Corky’s mind, not with her current case and having her ex-boyfriend as opposing counsel. Although having had a rocky start, Corky made the best of the situation she found herself in. The prospect of a new job in a place that felt like home was an opportunity she was not willing to throw away. Half-Moon Rising is the fifth book in Tracy Tappan’s The Community Series, which focuses on Vasile and his beloved Corky.
This was my introduction to The Community Series by Tracy Tappan, and my first taste left me wanting to learn more about the rest of the characters. I cannot express how much I loved reading Half-Moon Rising. This is a slow-burn romance, with quite a bit of sizzle and spice, written from multiple points of view, each playing an integral part in the bigger theme of the series. The characters of Vasile and Corky complemented each other so well. My heart hurt so much for Corky after everything she had been through. Vasile is a sweetheart, who sees nothing but Corky. One thing I loved about their story is that it shows the complexities of a language barrier between people and how miscommunication can easily occur. This only inspired Vasile to persevere. I am hoping to read the rest of the books in this series.

Half-Moon Rising is the fifth book in Tracy Tappan’s The Community Series, which focuses on Vasile and his beloved Corky.
This was my introduction to The Community Series by Tracy Tappan, and my first taste left me wanting to learn more about the rest of the characters. I cannot express how much I loved reading Half-Moon Rising. This is a slow-burn romance, with quite a bit of sizzle and spice, written from multiple points of view, each playing an integral part in the bigger theme of the series. The characters of Vasile and Corky complemented each other so well. My heart hurt so much for Corky after everything she had been through. Vasile is a sweetheart, who sees nothing but Corky. One thing I loved about their story is that it shows the complexities of a language barrier between people and how miscommunication can easily occur. This only inspired Vasile to persevere. I am hoping to read the rest of the books in this series.
