Honeymoon for One in Christmas Falls: Return to Christmas Falls, Book 2 is a holiday-themed contemporary romance written by Jennifer Peel. Piper Wyatt had been the girl most likely to succeed at just about anything she put her mind to -- until she fell for the wrong boy and ended up a single mom working as the assistant manager at the Blackstock Hotel and Resort. While she loved her five-year-old son, Finn, with a passion, she couldn’t help but wonder how different her life could have been. After the disappointment of Finn’s father, Piper was determined to stay clear of love interests, both for her sake and her son’s. Jace Peterson was roaring drunk when he demanded a different hotel room from the wedding suite he had booked. His fiancee had broken off their engagement. Piper knew she had to handle the situation with some care and diplomacy. She was in line for a promotion, and she knew that any deviation from the norm could jeopardize her chances. What made the situation even stranger was the fact that, despite his drunken state and open hostility, she found herself strangely attracted to him.
Jennifer Peel’s holiday-themed contemporary romance novel, Honeymoon for One in Christmas Falls: Return to Christmas Falls, Book 2, is a sweet and enthralling story about second chances at romance. Peel’s characters are well-defined and personable, and you can’t help but hope that Piper and Jace will find a way to get past their issues and fall in love with each other. Honeymoon for One is beautifully written, and the plot is an engaging one that’s perfect for the holiday season. This romance is suitable for older young adults as well as the targeted adult audience. Honeymoon for One in Christmas Falls: Return to Christmas Falls, Book 2 is most highly recommended.

Love Notes in Christmas Falls by Beth Labonte is a continuation of the Return To Christmas Falls series, built around the small Tennessee town of Christmas Falls. When Caitlin Cook graduated high school and headed off to Harvard with a full scholarship, her future seemed to be laid out in front of her. Only one thing tinged her excitement at leaving town for the big city of Boston. On her last night, Shane Mitchell, the enigma of her teenage years, had professed his love for her. After college, Caitlin worked for a textbook company for four years, but, laid off from her job and recently broken up with her boyfriend, she feels she has achieved nothing after eight years away from Christmas Falls. Called back to visit by the illness of her teenage music teacher, Caitlin herself must face the music and address the relationship between herself and Shane Mitchell, who has returned to Christmas Falls and is now the music teacher at the school.
Although Love Notes in Christmas Falls is part of a series, it is a full story in its own right and one that you don’t have to have read any others to fully enjoy. This is a simple, unpretentious romance that fulfills its purposes well. Author Labonte posed many of the same questions for the two main characters that her readers will no doubt face in their own lives; how does one judge life’s success? Is love more important than anything else? What is it that draws two people together with such a strong connection? And what is our goal in life? Happiness or success – or are they the same thing? I really enjoyed the characters and the story. Although not an avid reader of cozy romance, I am still able to gauge Labonte’s success at reaching her target audience. The story is well written, the characters well developed and, in its genre, a total success. I did enjoy this easy read.

London Walsh, a young adult, is living and working in San Francisco when she gets a letter to come back to her hometown of Christmas Falls to sing in the Christmas pageant. The only thing is, her parents have moved to Phoenix and her mother wants her there for Christmas. She has no trouble making her decision once she finds out that her parents are getting a divorce. Oh, and did I mention that she quit her job when she found out that her ex-boyfriend would soon be her boss? London decides to go to Christmas Falls, the place where she grew up, even though when she left it was not on the greatest of terms. Not sure she has made the right decision, London finds herself Once Again in Christmas Falls (Return to Christmas Falls Book 3) by Becky Monson.
Super cute story! Who wouldn’t want to live in a town called Christmas Falls? How absolutely fun! In all seriousness, Becky Monson won my heart with this third book in the Christmas Falls series. I have not read the first two in the series, but I had no problem following along. Easily a stand-alone book. London Walsh won my heart with her wittiness and charm. She learned a valuable lesson about running away from her problems, and gained back some excellent friendships along the way. I completely enjoyed this lovely romance and would recommend it to anyone wanting the perfect “feel good” Christmas story! I look forward to reading more from Becky Monson.
